kindergarten

kindergarten, originally uploaded by china.sixty4.

our little girl loved it - I wish I could have captured the obvious joy (there is no other word) that Lucy (and us, her parents) experienced yesterday (Friday) at a local kindergarten.

We have been looking for a place for her since we came to Ningbo. It has been difficult, due to the obvious fact that Lucy does not speak Chinese. The Kindergarten that we have found (and approve of) has an "international" component. Both the students and Lucy will benefit from her being in the "class", she is different from most of the Chinese kids, she is outgoing, outspoken, and enthusiastic (I am so very proud of her) the Chinese kids will see and hear her and hopefully realize that its Ok to be "active" and want to learn.

Lucy will have both Chinese and English lessons.

Lucy begins "full-time" at the kindergarten on Monday.
